Reverse Engineering
Reverse engineering is the process of obtaining the design data of a physically existing product when its original design information is unavailable, in order to reproduce or improve it.
The product is scanned using 3D optical measurement systems, and digital data is obtained. This data is defined as polygon mesh (STL) data.
Through precise engineering work using specialized reverse engineering software on the polygon mesh data, the product’s CAD data is generated.
